This wasn’t discussed in the NPD book I had read a decade ago and The Scream Phoebe Buffay Friends TV show shirt of narcissist back then. So when I was blindsided by a really friendly co-worker who just wanted to focus on me, displayed no obvious signs of grandiosity, and demonstrated a strong desire to help others – I didn’t suspect a thing. I did think it odd that she seemed to come out of nowhere to focus on me & she very quickly wanted to be my BFF. She also had very odd emotional reactions to things, in addition to being highly theatrical in nature but we all have our quirks, who am I to judge? It kind of made her interesting actually.
