The Rolling Stones really had some great songs, Snoopy The Rolling Stones shirt fast and slow. However, if I had to pick a favorite ballad, Food to cry would stand out. Mick played a beautiful melody on the electric piano even though I doubt he has ever played that part live. Keith’s wah pedal guitar really goes to the heart of the song’s mood. I love the background vocals on the chorus. My last choice is more of a lesser-known song. Far away eyes were on the Some Girls album. This song had a very tongue in cheek reference to prayers not being answered and a woman that wouldn’t give Mick the attention he needed. The harmonies and pedal steel guitar on this one are straight out of country music.
