In 1848 gold was discovered at Sutter’s Mill in Dragon Ball Goku and Vegeta San Francisco 49ers shirt Coloma in what is now known as the Gold Country of the Sierra Nevada. It is approximately 130 miles from San Francisco to the Gold Country. The news broke in 1848–1849. It took people nearly a year to travel from all parts of the world and the continent. 1849 is considered the year that the prospectors really started to flood into California. It didn’t take long for the news to reach San Francisco that gold had been discovered. When it did, nearly everyone in San Francisco headed for the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and the motherlode. For the ensuing years, San Francisco remained a gateway to people who had a gold fever from all over the world. The term 49er (Forty-Niners) is a term used for people who headed for the hills in search of gold starting in 1849.
