DQ Soft Serve is specifically made for use in its stores and Baby Yoda hug Dairy Queen shirt is not available outside of the Dairy Queen System. It is called soft serve because it is not ice cream, but technically considered low-fat ice cream. Regular Soft Ice Cream that you can find at your corner stand will most commonly have a 100% overrun. Overrun is the measurement of air added. Since Dairy Queen has less butter fat less air is added to give it it’s unique texture and flavor. This gives it a creamy texture using a lower fat mix. From my time working there and managing the store, I have to say it’s the prices. Dairy Queen is much more expensive when compared to McDonald’s and it is oftentimes slower too.
